“At Sheffield Forgemasters, we first became aware of Chris (SystemQuest) at a ShireSystems Roadshow, which several of our engineers attended.

Discussions with Chris of SystemQuest first began when I was looking to purchase a CMMS package for controlling planned maintenance on site. Chris guided me through the “pros and cons” of various packages before I decided on Pirana from Shire Systems.

Chris came to the port to support me with training and guidance on the important first step of implementing the software. I chose Chris’s “one to one” approach above the standard training course provided by Shire. He offered a tailor made service which added value to my system - with the data entered remaining in the system as the foundation on which I could build (live data).

Chris quickly picked up an understanding of our business and took the time to discuss how to get what I wanted from the system. Formulating an implementation plan gave us a structure to follow, allowing me to learn how to build and use the system as we progressed.

The support from Chris did not end when he left site after completing the training, Chris and I have remained in contact and I regularly discuss ideas, problems and frustrations with him - He always has a solution to hand and a service he has provided without charge.

As implementation of the software rolls out across the port, Chris will almost certainly be called upon to help the other areas, by providing product training and implementation guidance.

As far as I am concerned there is no better way to learn how to use software than using your own live data and real practical scenarios and I would thoroughly recommend Chris (SystemQuest) for his knowledge, skill and patience.

"After several telephone calls discussing my requirements for looking after a domestic and commercial site, with new/modern buildings, Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings, including a 900 year old castle to maintain. I needed a system that I could control: - PPM, asset and fleet management, staff training, health & safety policies and procedures, contractor management, as well as running a helpdesk for the 500 acres estate.

The system needed to be flexible and user friendly for office/maintenance staff and fall within budget. Following your suggestion and after visiting one of the road shows (delivered by you), we went for Shire Systems new Pirana software. We ran a free demo copy for a month before deciding this was the right system for Leeds Castle.

Following the 2 days implementation training on site with you, I had a basic system running within a week, the system was so simple to use and made the data inputting task easy, considering that we have such a varied and difficult site to maintain.

We would not have been able to be achieve this without your input in tailoring the training around the business, understanding our needs and requirements and making the whole process relatively easy.

“The training we received at Hoveair was exceptional, it was easy to understand and tailor made to fit our company needs, we spent only two days going through the basics and we came out the other side with a vast knowledge of how to operate our system to improve our productivity.

"My first meeting with Chris Lee was last year, when I attended a roadshow for the Shire Frontline Maintenance System.  We purchased the package about 18 months before, but had only recently started to compile an asset register for our PPM system.  The roadshow presentation was very enlightening and gave me the information I needed to identify a training course requirement for the Frontline Maintenance System.

In due course the training was agreed and the decision made was to organise a 3 day onsite training course for the whole department, consisting of 7 members, with various skills levels.  Everyone found the course extremely worthwhile, very informative and with Chris’s training methods, far from boring.  On the final day we were able to review our existing system with the knowledge we had just gained.  Obvious problem areas and shortfalls were now immediately recognised.  All members were putting forward various suggestions and ideas on how to improve our Frontline Maintenance System.  This proved to me that the information they had just learned was fully understood and that the group training method was indeed our best option.

Chris was very knowledgeable about all forms of PPM requirements.  His training methods and lighthearted approach, coupled with his professionalism, were enjoyed by everyone.  I would certainly recommend him to anyone who requires training in this particular field".

I was first introduced to Chris (SystemQuest) at Toshiba where we had previously tried to implement Shire Systems, Frontline, but came across implementation difficulties. As a result I arranged a week’s implementation training. I was amazed by the knowledge gained during this course, considering we had already been using the system for a number of years.

I have recently taken on a new role at BCT (British Ceramic Tile) as Maintenance Manager.
